4E Property Development (Pty) Ltd ("4E Property Development", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

4E Property Development (Pty) Ltd is a building contractor and professional quantity surveying practice based at 6A Lt. Gert du Toit Crescent, Welgelegen, Polokwane, 0699, South Africa. Our Information Officer is Drickus Fourie, who can be contacted at fouried@4ep.org or 082 837 4560.

Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, for example when you contact us by e-mail, phone, WhatsApp or in person, or when you fill in our online quote request form. This may include your name, phone number, e-mail address, the town where the work is needed, the type of work you are interested in, and details about your project such as plans, drawings and budgets. The quote request form is a Google Form, so your answers are stored in our Google account.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiries, prepare quotations, proposals and tenders, carry out and administer building, quantity surveying and project management contracts, issue invoices and payment certificates, meet our legal, regulatory and NHBRC obligations, and keep in touch with you about your project. We do not sell your personal information or use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it is needed to deliver your project or required by law. This may include subcontractors, suppliers and professional consultants working on your project, the NHBRC for home enrolment, municipalities and other authorities for approvals, our accountants and insurers, and the IT service providers that host our e-mail and website (such as Google). We require these parties to keep your information confidential and secure.

This website and cookies

This website is hosted on Google Sites. Google may use cookies and collect basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to run and secure the service, as described in Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not use this website to track you for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires, for example tax, contract and NHBRC record-keeping periods. After that it is securely deleted or destroyed.

How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including password-protected business accounts and limiting access to staff who need it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. To do so, contact our Information Officer at fouried@4ep.org. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at www.inforegulator.org.za.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
